Key legislative deadlines have passed but much remains to be determined in final days; large load bill passes the House; Senate amends, passes coastal wind bill; nuclear bill passes Senate committee

• Senate Bill 6, the large load bill, passes the House with a key section deleted and an additional bill added by floor amendment;

• Senate amends and passes House Bill 3556, the bill to increase regulation of coastal wind projects;

• Senate committee advances a much slimmer version of the House’s nuclear bill, HB 14;

• Key House deadlines passed without movement for anti-energy bills, but with six days remaining (June 2 is the final day), it’s too early for any sort of assessment on the energy legacy of this legislature; and

• ERCOT’s Technical Advisory Committee to consider ancillary service duration, Aggregated Distributed Energy Resource pilot expansion, and large loads tomorrow (5/28).
