In this edition of the Grid Roundup, I cover:
The fallout from the recent debacle with the Texas Energy Fund, yesterday’s Senate Finance hearing, and what might happen with the Fund next.
There’s huge interest in Texas distributed energy resources (DERs) as 26 companies, co-ops, and organizations filed requests to participate in the ADER Task Force.
The ERCOT Large Flexible Load Task Force meets this morning. In the last month, 4.4 GW of new demand is in the large load interconnection queue. The total is 57 GW of requests in the next four years on a grid with peak demand of 85 GW.
ERCOT to hold a workshop on high voltage transmission. Texas has no extra high voltage yet; that may change soon.
