Included in this week’s Texas Grid Roundup:

  • ERCOT issued two notices of possible capacity shortfalls.

  • The PUC staff proposed, and the Commission approved, a Proposal for Publication (PFP) for a reliability standard.

  • Staff also filed a memo on the Performance Credit Mechanism (PCM) saying that a new reliability standard does not require the PCM.

  • ERCOT takes step toward central planning of generation, proposing eight “generation hubs” of 1,375 megawatts each.

  • The Senate released its agenda for the Business & Commerce Committee meeting next month and the House released its interim charges.
